Beautiful, Affordable and Eco-friendly Event Space
Sunshower Farms is a one of a kind venue for private events on the Big Island. Clients and guests will be moved by the intimacy of the local, the beauty of the Hawaiian landscape, and thoughtfulness and detail that we put into every event. A lanai overlooking the ocean and our coffee orchard is a perfect spot for bridal and baby showers, destination weddings, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, potlucks, anniversary parties, church and corporate events.

Venue Expansion Project
In February 2020, we applied for a Special Use Permit to build a new venue space on the farm. Our current venue, while beautiful, is also our home, which considerably limits the amount of events we can have each year. The new venue will be modeled after our current space and will be very similar as far as styling and finishes just at a larger capacity and with a better layout. This permitting and building process will be long and potentially arduous but we are very optimistic! Click below to read all about the project!
farm-to-table
For a true slow food, local, farm-to-table experience, Sunshower works with a number of chefs who source as many local ingredients into their menus as possible - many of them coming right from our own farm. With enough advanced notice, Sunshower can even plant to order and grow the veggies and (in some cases) raise the meat for your event. And of course, all of the coffee served at our events was grown, picked, processed and roasted right here by us!
A COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY
Having your next event at Sunshower can be good for your bottom line as well as for the earth. Sunshower Farms is a completely off-grid event venue - we are solar powered and our water is caught from the rain. We farm according to organic practices and use many permaculture and Korean natural farming techniques. Click below to learn more about our event-specific sustainability practices!
Venue Pricing
Sunshower Farms is committed to keeping our events affordable and customizable. We do not offer any “packages” and anything you book through us is “ala cart.” The only required rental for our venue is the space itself and other than that Clients can bring their own food, décor, place settings etc. or they can rent those things from us. We pride ourselves on keeping all of our pricing transparent and easy for clients to calculate themselves. Click below to see all of the pricing for our hopeful expanded venue space (coming 2021).

Example Menus
Because Sunshower does not cater in-house, we do not have any pre-set menus or catering packages for clients to choose from. However, we find it helps clients to understand what is possible when they can see what has come before. Over the years, we have worked with a variety of chefs, restaurants and food trucks and the link below will give you a taste of those menus and prices.
